How far in advance should I place my order?

Celebration cake orders (birthday, baby showers, etc) can be placed at minimum 2-3 weeks in advance via email or Instagram DM. Wedding cake orders can be placed 2-8 months in advance via email only - nicole@ninthcake.com

How do I reserve a date for my cake order?

All orders will require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve your date. The remaining balance will be due a week prior to your delivery date and 24 hours prior to pickup date. All information regarding balances, pickup address & scheduled pickup time will be sent in a follow up message.

Do you offer delivery?

Delivery can be selected with a 1-2 month advanced notice for two/three/four tier cake orders to venues only, fot an additional fee within a 1 hour distance. Subject to availability. All three/four tiered & all wedding cake orders require delivery.

Heart cakes, single tiers, desserts & cupcake orders, unless in addition to a tiered cake, are NOT eligible for delivery.

How do I transport my cake?

If you choose to pick up your cake, please be sure to arrive with your air conditioning on or heat off. We highly recommend that the cake be placed on a flat surface, such as the back floor or passenger seat floor. Please refrain from placing the cake on car seats, trunk or under direct heat.

Please keep in mind that Ninth Cake is NOT responsible for any damage to the cake once it has been picked up. This includes mishandling, improper storage, improper transportation, and failure to adhere to verbal & written instructions.

How do I store & serve my cake?

Cakes should be refrigerated immediately after pick up and should not sit out of the refrigerator until serving or until display during events. Cakes are best served at cool or room temperature.

Can I pick up my cake the day before?

EARLY PICKUP POLICY - Should you choose to pickup the cake in advance/the day before, full responsibility is transferred onto the customer for all hours the cake is not in our possession during an extensive length of time. Advanced arrangements are encouraged.

The cake is required to be refrigerated immediately & overnight until needed. Should the cake need to be re-transported, please follow our guidelines in our Cake Care note.

What if I need to change/cancel my order?

In the event of a cancellation or change to your order, please allow a 2 week notice minimum. Deposits are non-refundable, however a date change is permissible, subject to date availability within a three-month grace period.

Late changes under 2 weeks may incur additional fees.

Do you offer gluten free/vegan options? Suitable for allergy restrictions?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any vegan, dairy free or allergy-specific menu items. Please let us know if you or anyone at your event has any allergy restrictions beforehand. We can not be held responsible should one fail to communicate allergy restrictions prior to a deposit or after an order has been picked up.

We can accommodate for gluten free cakes, with limited flavor options. We are home based and most our ingredients are nut-free, however we can not guarantee any allergy-free items. Optional filling choices such as Nutella, should be avoided completely.
